A few days ago, we learned via Loudoun Interfaith Relief’s Facebook page that the Leesburg area food pantry had run out of cereal. We immediately decided to take up a collection in the office and even considered doing a “cereal drive” through which folks could drop off boxes at our Leesburg operations center.
You can get a lot of cereal for not much money, and it seemed like a no brainer. But for many people finding the time to deliver the cereal to our office–or to Loudoun Interfaith on Miller Drive–could make it hard to participate in the effort. So then it occurred to us:
It’s the middle of winter; we’re in the landscaping business, and it’s not snowing. We’ve got time to go pick up some cereal.
So, if you’d like to help us help Loudoun Interfaith stock its shelves and feed the hungry in our area, just set aside a few boxes of cereal. Then email m.coughlin@blakelandscapes.com and let us know where we can pick it up on Friday morning prior to making our delivery to Loudoun Interfaith that afternoon. Tell us where we can find it–on your front porch or maybe at the front desk at your office–and we’ll come to you!
On a related note, you can also still help to increase the cash donation we will make to Loudoun Interfaith later this month by “Liking” Blake Landscapes’ Facebook page. Each new like or “Facebook Fan” we pick up adds $3.00 to this month’s donation.
Thanks in advance and tell all your “Friends!”

Great idea!
